What is the SwiftGeorge Residents’ Association?
We are a group of residents from George & Swift House and we want to deal with the common concerns that affect our housing and general environment.
We want to have a united voice so that we can influence and shape the quality of services provided by London & Quadrant (L&Q).
To do this, we need all of you – tenants, shared owners and homeowners – to become members of the SwiftGeorge Residents’ Association.
We can only have a powerful and united voice if all of you join as a member.
Why should I join?
Join us if you are concerned about the communal problems that affect our properties.
And if you want to have a say on the quality of the services provided by L&Q such as cleaning and repairs.
A member of L&Q will attend all open meetings organised by the residents’ association. So this is a great opportunity to talk to someone (face to face) about your concerns.
What do I need to do as a member?
You can do as little or as much as you want. We already have an interim committee that will organize all the meetings. We aim to meet locally about 4 times every year – so we won’t take up much of your time.
All you need to do as a member is to attend our general meetings if you wish to do so.
If you wish to stand for election to the committee, please email us by 9 September 2018.
How do I join?
It’s very easy to join. You may do it online, clicking on on “Become a member” or email your details to residents@swiftgeorge.org.
How much does it cost?
We would like to ask all members to contribute with £2.5 every year. This is so we have money to help with the costs of renting rooms for our meetings, printing these leaflets, some refreshment, etc.
As a member you will have access to the Treasurer’s report – so you can see what has been spent.
